Carl
is a retired commercial pilot. He manages his retirement
fund and uses a variety of trading styles and strategies.
He first invested in the stock market back in 1941,
so Carl has seen it all! He relies on OmniTrader's time-saving
capabilities. As he said, "I don't want to spend
my life looking at a computer screen!"
Which
of OmniTrader's features do you use the most?
I
believe the momentum indicator (MOM-P) is excellent.
When you use it in conjunction with the Vote Line, it
gives good entry and exit points. It's a good preview
of coming attractions. If the MOM-P is moving up, but
downwaves are still progressing, it's a sign of an upcoming
trend change. For example, I was trading Central Gardens
(Cent). The MOM-P started down on 6/2/97, and the stock
topped out on 6/9/97.
I
like the concept behind using over 100 indicators to
test the securities, then voting just the best ones
to get the signals on the Vote Line.
How
much time do you spend trading each day?
I
spend about one to two hours watching the screen unless
it's a critical time. I'm just looking for turning points
and opportunities. I don't want to spend my whole life
doing this!
How
does OmniTrader help you save time in your daily trading?
It
helps a lot. I watch what's going on with a stock and
if something's happening I can go right to the charts.
How
easy is OmniTrader to use?
Very
easy! It's extremely well thought-out.
Exactly
how do you use OmniTrader?
I
developed my own indicator back in 1986. I use it to
look at the overall market trends. Then I use OmniTrader
to pinpoint specific opportunities. For example, if
I see that the market is going into a downturn, I use
OmniTrader to look for tops.
What
do you trade?
I
started investing in the stock market back in 1941.
I retired in 1980 and I've been managing my retirement
fund. I primarily trade stocks. I'll trade options on
commodities in special situations, and I trade some
funds, looking for long term turning points.
What
is your trading style?
A
little of all different styles -- depending on the company
and situation.
How
have you done with the program?
In
the first ten days I made enough money to pay for the
program. One example, I recently bought Wal-Mart options
at 3 1/2 and sold them soon after at 7.
How
much money do you have invested?
Over
$50,000 in options and stocks. More than that in long
term investments.
Would
you recommend this program to a friend?
I
sure would and I have!
